Keep the Camera SteadyTry to have a firm grip on the camera and keep your elbows tucked in to avoid camera shake. It is important in most photographic situations to have sharp detail that conveys all the key information. With manually-operated cameras the shutter speed should not fall below 1/60th of a second without the use of a tripod or similar support. Monopods are easy to use and offer effective support. With long focal length lenses the shutter speed should be close to the focal length of the lens, i.e. 1/250 for a 300mm lens. |
