[0733] A Social History of Ayrshire

This project digitises excerpts from several books and manuscripts relating to the social history of the area, from the 16th to mid 20th centuries. The material consists of local histories, burgh, church and court records, much of which relates to witch trials and the hysteria surrounding witchcraft in the 16th and 17th centuries.
