Schools

During 2016 Scran has been working more closely with a selection of schools across Scotland; in the Highlands, East Dunbartonshire, Perth & Kinross and East Lothian. Until recently, the way in which Scran education officers reached schools was by delivering CLPL sessions or CPD training for teachers. You may have attended such a session in the past? Thousands of teachers have over years and we continue to offer this service.

However, we now have the opportunity to become more creative in what we can offer schools and how we engage wit Bookcase from the Masters Room at Trinity Househ our users – in short, by becoming more hands-on, for example by offering kite aerial photography. The Scran education officers are all fully qualified teachers & we are relishing being back in the classroom.

Perhaps you are going through the GTCS professional review & development process? If so, Scran might just be useful for addressing the standards. If you or your school would like to find out more about what we can do to support teaching & learning, please get in touch.

Don’t forget Glow, you can access Scran via the App Library  by adding the Scran tile to your Launchpad, then lift off!
