Why was the Cairngorm mountain range chosen for this project? Well, as one of the most important wilderness areas in Britain, development of any kind in this area is usually highly contentious and this has allowed us to bring together a number of opposing viewpoints. The fact that any development would secure employment and investment in an otherwise economically depressed area has to be considered together with the fact that the development would take place in a very fragile environment.
