Here you will see the Cairngorm mountains covering a vast area, from Tomintoul in the north of the range, to Feshie Bridge in the south. The nearest town to the Cairngorms is Aviemore. The town first came into being during the 1960s to cater for skiers who flocked to the slopes of the Cairngorms. It is now a fair sized town which offers a variety of local services and leisure activities.
