I know there have been a lot of arguments about the funicular but I really can't see anything negative about it. As I said I'm a ski instructor here and the numbers of skiers on the slopes since the funicular opened has increased dramatically - so surely, economically, it's a good thing for the area? I'm from Aviemore and a number of my friends and myself have seen a big increase in visitors in the area - not just on the slopes - so I think the spin off has been fantastic.
