Whale's
tail
The
tail flukes of whales contain a great deal of collagen and were
used to manufacture glue, especially in Holland.
The
tail was also very tough and was used by the whalers as a chopping
board when dividing up the blubber into pieces small enough to pass
through the bung-holes of the casks.
