This mountain railway was a project dogged by controversy from inception to completion - and judging by the views of our characters the fictional extension to this railway will be no different! All of our characters have firm views on the proposed extension and will either be for or against the development. There will be 8 characters- 4 for the development and 4 against. You will also be introduced to Jane, the local planner, who will attempt to bring the diverse viewpoints together. So, how will it all work? Session 2 will be used to 'set the scene'. We will begin by offering a description of the Cairngorms and the surrounding area of Badenoch and Strathspey - including a few maps to help you get your bearings! We will then outline how skiing evolved in this area and the circumstances which led to the development of the current mountain railway. A description of the proposed fictional development will then be given, and after this we will hand you over to the first of our fictional characters who will tell you what she thinks… |
