Below is a selection of Roman sites in Scotland. They comprise a legionary fortress (Inchtuthil), an early third century campaign base (Carpow), auxiliary forts of different types (Ardoch, Cramond, Fendoch, and Newstead), and two frontier systems (the Gask Frontier and the Antonine Wall).
