Max Bygraves, crooner and comedian, died on 31 August 2012 at the age of 89. He rose to fame through his variety performances on television in the 1970s and was famed for his catchphrase, 'I wanna tell you a story'. You can see more photographs of Max Bygraves in his heyday on Scran.
