Sky At Night Presenter and Self-Taught Xylophone Player, Patrick Moore, Dies Aged 89

Amateur astronomer and 'Sky At Night' presenter, Patrick Moore, has died aged 89. He died on December 9th 2012.

Born in 1923, Moore was a former president of both the British Astronomical Association and the Society for Popular Astronomy. He presented the BBC programme 'The Sky at Night', which in 2007 became the world's longest running television programme with the original presenter still in post.

Moore was also an accomplished and self-taught xylophone player.
