New images of Auschwitz on Scran
Photographer Derek Fleming has kindly shared his evocative and moving portraits of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland. While the site was the scene of Nazi atrocities until 1945, today it stands as a memorial to these horrifying events. As well as being superb documents of the subject, the photos are of an extremely high technical and aesthetic quality. Derek's (mostly) monochromatic images of the remains of the camp are now available for all Scran subscribers to use in learning about, teaching and understanding this difficult and troubling aspect of the Second World War. You can see them all by clicking here.
