Memorial Pegasus
Images from Memorial Pegasus - Commemorating the Normandy Landings
This new contribution to Scran showcases photographs from Memorial Pegasus, a museum at Ranville in Lower Normandy, North France. The museum is a memorial to the 6th Airborne Division and their role during World War Two in the Battle of Normandy, from June to September 1944. These new Scran images document some of the historical objects on display at the museum that tell the story of missions carried out by the Division, including the seaborne landings on the beaches at Normandy on D-Day, the 6th June 1944.
