This project features images from the British Galleries at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London - one of the world's greatest museums of the decorative arts. The British Galleries contain some of Britain's most significant cultural treasures including Henry VIII's writing desk, James II's wedding suit and the famous Great Bed of Ware and will feature all of the top British designers, plus the leading manufacturers, of the times - including Chippendale, Morris, Mackintosh, Wedgwood and Liberty.

[0537] Personal Relics of the Zulu War
This is a small project featuring the items which survive relating to a Scot who was enlisted by a recruiting officer in Edinburgh in 1878, and travelled to Africa to fight in one of the many colonial wars of the nineteenth century. From such personal items we struggle to understand the great sweep of history.

[0536] Basic Records - Leadhills Miners' Library Catalogue
This project comprises over 3000 basic-only records (Scran Basics) representing the complete catalogue of Leadhills Miners' Library. This was the UK's first subscription library, founded in 1741 by working men for their own self-improvement. The cataloguing project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, and the records donated to Scran.
